Digimed Medizintechnik from Tuttlingen offers trochanteric nails, instrument set for trochanteric nail systems, lag screws and locking screws. Trochanteric nails provide intramedullary stabilization and are used for subtrochanteric femoral neck fractures. Trochanteric nails have better stability compared to plate osteosynthesis and provide dynamic locking and distal locking. The lag screw provides load transfer from the femoral head to the nail shaft. In addition, the locking screw prevents the implant from twisting or migrating.
